The Dubai stop on the HSBC World Sevens Series is one of the highlights of the year for any rugby fan - 8 pitches constructed in this desert oasis used from dawn until well after dusk for three full days of rugby.
The Invitational & Gulf events draw over teams from across the globe with in excess of 45,000 people attending as players and spectators every year.
As the post-COVID event welcomed back spectators and the Invitational event, a number of the team from TRF were also in attendance.
Our CEO, Phil Klevorick made the significant journey from Vegas to help spread the TRF message and to meet some of the new representatives who joined the team during the lockdowns. Mike Mulroy (European Director) was one of the Assistant Referees on the World Sevens Series and Julian Bevan (Ambassador for Switzerland) was one of the Match Official Coaches on the invitational event.
It was in Dubai in 2021 that Phil and Mike also met with old and new friends from India, Sri Lanka and Singapore to deliver the TRF message to a new audience, more details of those Ambassadors will be posted soon.
