The Rugby Foundation was established in the fall of 2018 as a charitable organization in the United States supporting four pillars through the sport of rugby. Our four pillars include:
- Community programs supporting co-ed youth education and leadership development
- Women’s focused development pathways through training and mentorship
- Adaptive sport initiatives through focused programs, and
- Uniformed services support that includes Military, Police, Fire and EMS.
Our motto “Helping The America’s Rugby Community ‘Play On'” speaks to our initiative to grow the sport through education, mentorships, and strategic local and national partnerships by helping the needs within our four pillars. Our executive team along with our members are committed to providing a safe environment that encourages personal growth for all involved.
Our Mission is to provide our community with programs that encourage and inspire those involved better life-skills through the ethos of rugby (Integrity, Passion, Solidarity, Discipline and Respect) as well as leadership, mentoring and education.
The Rugby Foundation (TRF) was created by professional leaders in the rugby community across the United States at various levels within the sport of rugby. They are made up of educators, coaches, nutrition and fitness experts as well as across most professional careers including professors, architects, medical, business development leaders including C-suite executives, members of armed services and first responders, etc. Our structure includes a Board of Directors who provide guidance from their experiences, combined with the vision of TRF, to our Executive Director for execution thereby ensuring a strong business culture to provide focus deliverables that positively support the four pillars and the under-served community.
Our team has spent decades supporting local communities with various needs at all levels including volunteering. TRF was established to help provide support to the under-served community by establishing and maintaining strong strategic partnerships within these communities to help ensure localized success.
